Building Materials Survey & Abatement Design
- Conducting regulatory asbestos program management audit evaluations
- Conducting visual inspections and bulk sampling following AHERA and NESHAP protocols to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACM)
- In-house analysis of bulk material samples by polarized light microscopy (PLM) and air samples by phase contrast microscopy (PCM)
- Development of hazard assessments to identify the potential for exposure or future disturbance
- Abatement design and cost estimation
- Development of plans and specifications including, where appropriate, applying for alternative work practices/variances to allow abatement projects to proceed at a faster pace and allow for more cost effective abatement techniques to be utilized while maintaining the same level of engineering control.

A Plan for Action…Operations & Maintenance?
What actions, if any, should be taken to respond to asbestos that remain in place. Saban develops/implements O&M plans to allow for proper on-site management, periodic surveillance and employee hazard communication. The O&M plan is an organized set of procedures, training and documentation designed to reduce the potential for exposure to asbestos left in the facility, and provide protection against liability.
Construction Administration
& Remediation Oversight
Construction administration of asbestos abatement projects including assistance with contractor selection and invoice review; project monitoring/oversight and air monitoring during all phases of abatement including re-occupancy inspection/testing and on-site air sample analysis. Awareness level training for maintenance/custodial or housekeeping personnel to achieve compliance with the OSHA asbestos hazard communication standards.
